Focused on one thing: moving Chinese manufacturing through Morocco into Europe, America and Africa

We are a consultancy focused on China–Morocco cross-border trade and investment services. Below is who we are, the principles we work by, how a project runs — and what we do not do.

Who we are

Not a pass-through intermediary — only workable solutions

Riverland focuses on trade and investment services for Chinese manufacturers entering the EU, North America, North Africa and West Africa through Morocco. Our team combines backgrounds in manufacturing international business, cross-border tax and compliance, supply chain and project management, working alongside Moroccan lawyers, accountants, certification bodies, forwarders and banks.

We are not a pass-through intermediary: partners own the engagement directly, tariff models, origin conditions, costs and timelines are delivered in writing, and critical milestones are executed jointly with our local delivery partners. Scope, fees and acceptance criteria go into the engagement letter rather than relying on verbal assurances.

In our first meeting we can introduce the team members who would work on your project, along with their relevant background, and set out the partner institutions and local resources we can evidence.

  • First 30-minute consultation and initial tariff view are free
  • Written initial feedback within 48 hours
  • Model and proposal first, fees and budget after
  • No charge for the next phase until the previous milestone is complete

Project rhythm

How a project usually runs

Timing runs from project kick-off and assumes complete documentation and timely cooperation; actual duration varies with product, certification and site complexity.

Week 0

Briefing and document list

Confirm product scope, target markets and constraints; issue the document checklist and an initial question list.

Weeks 1–2

Tariff and feasibility model

HS classification, origin conditions, tax and logistics modelling, delivered as a written feasibility conclusion with risk flags.

Weeks 3–6

Structure and delivery plan

Holding and transaction structure, free-zone or park options, certification route, budget and timeline, in a written delivery plan.

Months 2–6

Execution

Incorporation, certification, site and plant build-out, equipment import and installation, local team and systems go-live.

After start-up

Operations and order support

Tax, accounting and employment compliance, supply-chain and inventory optimisation, customer audits and delivery support.

Quarterly

Business review and reinvestment

Quarterly review of cost, inventory, compliance and capacity utilisation, with recommendations on expansion or reinvestment.

Who we are

Which roles own a project

Before kick-off we confirm in writing who owns each role and who your contact window is; the background of the individuals can be provided at the first meeting.
