Morocco: a country that wrote its tariff advantage into law and into its ports

We combine modules by project stage: light engagements can be a tariff model and export agency work; heavier ones deliver a plant, certifications, a team and financing in one programme. You can start at any module.

Engagement models

Four fee models — choose by stage and appetite for risk

We do not sell unbounded hourly advice. Every engagement starts with a written scope, milestones and acceptance criteria.

Per project

Fixed project

For diagnosis, structuring, tariff modelling and certification planning with a clear boundary. One fixed price.

Staged payments

Milestone-based

For long programmes such as plant build-outs. You pay per completed milestone; incomplete work does not trigger the next invoice.

Monthly / annual

Annual retainer

For companies already operating in Morocco: tax, legal and operations support on a monthly or annual fee.

Shared risk

Base fee + success share

For trade agency and channel development: a lower base fee with a share of tariff savings or incremental orders.

FAQ

The six questions clients ask most

How long does incorporation take, and do I have to be there in person?

A free-zone company normally takes 4–8 weeks to incorporate and open a bank account; onshore companies take a little longer. Most steps can be handled under power of attorney. You attend once for the bank account and key signatures — we arrange the appointment, accompany you and translate.

Will my product definitely qualify for zero EU duty?

Not necessarily. It depends on HS classification and the local value-added and processing requirements in the origin rules. We issue a modelling sheet first showing which models qualify, how much local content is required and where the supply chain must change — before you invest.

How low are Moroccan taxes really?

Export-oriented free-zone companies are exempt from corporate income tax for the first 5 years and then typically taxed at a reduced rate. VAT on goods used to produce exports can be zero-rated or exempt. The exact treatment depends on your activity and transaction structure, which we calculate line by line.

How much does it cost to build a plant in Morocco?

It varies widely. For assembly and light manufacturing, leased premises, equipment and initial working capital typically run from a few million to tens of millions of RMB. We always propose a minimum viable line so you can validate certification and orders before expanding.

How do we manage a local team without French or Arabic?

We provide Chinese / English / French / Arabic liaison and documentation support covering recruitment, training, policy rollout and daily communication. Policies and SOPs are produced in bilingual Chinese-English-French versions so headquarters can manage directly. On-site staffing is agreed case by case, depending on project scale.

How are you different from a forwarder, a law firm or an accounting firm?

Each of them solves one link. We own the chain and the outcome: tariff modelling, corporate structure, certification, plant build-out, financing and operations — one team, one timetable, one invoice.
